Kevin Lynch Receives the George Saridis Leadership Award in Robotics and Automation

Kevin Lynch received the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society's George Saridis Leadership Award in Robotics and Automation at the 2022 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in Philadelphia in May. The award is named in honor of Professor George Saridis, the Founding President of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Council, which later became the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. Judging is based on "exceptional leadership and dedication that benefits the Robotics and Automation community." Lynch was recognized for his leadership in conferences and publications, contributions to broadly accessible robotics education, and research. He is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Robotics and was formerly Editor-in-Chief of the conference editorial board for ICRA.
