Alexander BroadMSPhD Student, CS
Alex is a doctoral student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at Northwestern University He received his B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology, and his M.S. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining Northwestern, he worked as an Associate Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he explored various Machine Learning applications. His research interests lie at the intersection of Machine Learning and Robotics. He is particularly interested in developing novel algorithms for assistive robotics to introduce robot autonomy and learning to platforms such as wheelchairs and robotic arms.
