Shane DengPhD StudentAdviser: Mike Rubenstein

I am Shane, and I am currently a PhD student in Prof. Mike Rubenstein's group. Before starting my PhD journey, I worked as a research assistant at Carnegie Mellon University's Robomechanics Lab, under the guidance of Prof. Aaron Johnson. During my time there, I led the autonomous soil sampling robot project.
Prior to my graduate studies, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. As an undergraduate, I worked with Prof. Peter Adamczyk in the BADGER Lab.

In a broad sense, I'm passionate about designing and integrating hardware and software into complex systems to do interesting things.
