Kyra RudyPhD Student, MEAdvisers: Todd Murphey, Brenna Argall

Kyra is a doctoral student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Northwestern University. She graduated from Cleveland State University with honors, earning her Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 2018. During her time at Cleveland State, she participated in research as a member of the Mechanics and Control of Living Systems Lab. Her prior research focused on the restoration of arm motion in persons with high spinal cord injuries through the use of functional electrical stimulation. Kyra’s current research interest lies in the development of shared control strategies for assistive and rehabilitation robotics.
