I am interested in studying soft robots, be it those made from flexible materials such as silicone, compliant mechanisms with rigid materials, or biological robots. I hope to tackle the design of such systems using physics fundamentals but also use our lab's expertise in artificial intelligence and evolutionary algorithms to aid in creating novel topologies.
